The 2020 Generalized Rating of Newspaper Publications in Ukraine

The subject of the article is the analysis of Ukraine’s newspaper publications in 2020. The author describes the situation in the newspaper market in Ukraine from the prospective of the world press trends. Speaking about the World Association of Newspapers (WAN-IFRA) reports, it can be concluded that though the process of digitalization in mass media causes considerable circulation declines, in general the newspaper industry maintains its dynamics. The article contains several examples of successful commercial newspaper publications. As conclusion, the newspaper industry in Ukraine faced decline in the year of 2020. However, it was not dramatic. Its futher development corresponds to the European and world media trends.
